Flooring Installation

Flooring goes in at a specific point in the sequence, and getting it wrong means either laying an expensive floor for the trades to walk on or trying to run it under cabinets that are already fitted.

Subfloor, then floor

Most flooring problems are subfloor problems. A floor laid over a surface that is not flat or not dry will telegraph both. We check that first and level it before anything is laid.

Whether the floor runs under the cabinets or up to them depends on the material and the room, and it changes where the job sits in the schedule.

  • Subfloor checked for level and moisture before anything is laid
  • Hardwood, engineered, luxury vinyl plank and tile
  • Transitions and thresholds detailed where materials meet
  • Laid to suit the cabinet sequence, not against it
  • Old flooring lifted and taken away

Choosing for the room, not the photograph

A kitchen floor gets water, grit and dropped pans. A basement floor sits on a slab and needs to tolerate humidity. The same plank is right in one room and wrong in the other.

Wood needs to sit in the house first

Solid and engineered wood have to acclimate in the room before they are laid, or they move afterward. That is time in the schedule with nothing visible happening, and skipping it is why floors gap.

We run the project, not just the install

The design is the part you see. The rest is scheduling trades, chasing deliveries and keeping the sequence right so the room comes back together on time. That coordination is the service you are paying for.

One point of contact

You call one number. We handle the trades, the suppliers and the schedule between them.

Deliveries timed to the work

Cabinets and counters arrive when the site is ready, not weeks early in your garage.

A sequence that holds

Every trade knows what comes before and after, so one delay does not cascade through the job.
